Bro, My Social Security Number Sold for a Bag of Hot Cheetos: Data Broker L Take *skull emoji*

3/1/2026, 8:02:43 AM

Babe, imagine this: you’re just out here minding your own business, scrolling TikTok at 4AM, and BAM, some tech bro named Trevor is selling your Social Security number for the price of a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos Loco Tacos 😱 *exploding-head*. No cap, the data-bro industries literally built a slip 'n slide made of your personal info and then accidentally put it on Amazon Prime Day 💀. Sen. Maggie "Hacker Slayer" Hassan (relax, it's just her) sends an angry email at 2x speed to these companies—Comscore, Findem, IQVIA, Telesign, and 6Sense—like, "Please, sirs, can I have my privacy back?" Sksksk they ghost her so hard, her inbox needed therapy 💀. BRO, FINDem didn’t just leave her on read—they straight up blocked her irl. While all the other companies at least PRETENDED to help, Findem was like, "Sorry, your privacy request can’t be processed because you don’t exist. This isn’t even my final form." *alien emoji* Like, this is customer service but if the customer was in the Upside Down. Meanwhile, Telesign is out here forcing journalists to agree to NEWSLETTER MARKETING for a little info. Like, “Want answers? Click all the fire hydrants AND get three emails a week titled ‘🔒Your Privacy Matters🤡’.” Honestly, their websites are like: "Oh, you want to protect your privacy? Yeah, well first, go to our homepage, scroll down to a link hidden in the copyright symbol, tap the pixel in the bottom right, then solve our 9,000-word ARG.” The data-brokers were using something called “no index code” to make it so their ‘opt-out’ links are deep fried in invisibility sauce. Even Indiana Jones’ dad couldn't find that. Q: What do you call a site that says you can delete your data but isn’t listed on Google? A: Evidence that you majored in Hide-n-Seek and now work for 6Sense LMSAO. (And they have, like, third-party audits now, which is like getting your roommate to say your room DOESN’T smell like feet.) Comscore pulls up, like: “We found a code from 2003. We have no clue what it does so… we deleted it. Please clap.” No further notes. In conclusion: at least Findem is consistent—consistently confused. All these companies are playing "Cheat Codes for Privacy" except the cheat code is ‘Ctrl+Alt+Hide from Google’. And at the end of the day, scammers—who somehow have your birthday, social security number, your Roblox friends list, and your Spotify Wrapped 2018—are sliding into your life like "I can has your credit score?" And these broker bros just shrug like it wasn't them who left the data buffet open through the kitchen window. Zero accountability, max vibes, still shipping data like it’s Black Friday. Stay safe, king, your data is out here fighting for its life and the IT Helpdesk is just sending you Bitmojis in response. *flushed face* SKIBIDI TOILET OUT ♂️
